According to John Kerry, Bush's response to 9-11 too slow [that whole waiting for 7 minutes hoopla] in his following statement:

Be then again Kerry could have taken that new math where 40 minutes is actually less than 7 minutes.
And as noted at Slings & Arrows:

table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then boom, right behind
us, we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon. And then word came from the
White House, they were evacuating, and we were to evacuate, and so we
immediately began the evacuation.

It should be noted that the second plane hit the World Trade Center at 9:03Of course if Kerry was in the classroom, it would of taken him longer than 7 minutes to react because he would of had to explain why he was leaving, then change his story.
a.m., and the plane hit the Pentagon at 9:43 a.m. By Kerry's own words, he and
his fellow senators sat there for forty minutes, realizing "nobody could
think."
What a dope.
