Here is a great article from the Weekly Standard outlining Saddam's connection to Al Qaeda.

Communists Love Kerry

Gee, maybe Sampley was...*gasp*....right?!

A Ho Chi Minh City museum that honors Vietnam war protesters features a photograph of Sen. John Kerry being greeted by the general secretary of the Communist Party, Comrade Do Muoi.
A snapshot of the display in the Vietnamese Communist War Remnants Museum – formerly known as the "War Crimes Museum"
Epstein said the display photograph's "unquestionable significance lies in its placement in the American protesters' section of the War Crimes Museum" in Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon.
"The Vietnamese communists clearly recognize John Kerry's contributions to their victory," he said. "This find can be compared to the discovery of a painting of Neville Chamberlain hanging in a place of honor in Hitler's Eagle's Nest in 1945."

But Kerry will still insist that his actions in VVAW didn't help the enemy, but then again Jane Fonda could only be a moron. Speaking of which I saw a great license plate cover yesterday it read "Boycott Jane Fonda, American Traitor Bitch."

Kerry gives Vet the "one finger salute"

When confronted with a disagreeing view and free speech that you don't agree with, you can always fall back on personal attacks and the good ole' bird.
Ted Sampley, a former Green Beret who served two full tours in Vietnam, spotted Kerry and his Secret Service detail at about 9:00 a.m. Monday morning at the Wall. Sampley walked up to Kerry, extended his hand and said, "Senator, I am Ted Sampley, the head of Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry, and I am here to escort you away from the Wall because you do not belong here."
At that point a Secret Service officer told Sampley to back away from Kerry. Sampley moved about 6 feet away and opened his jacket to reveal a HANOI JOHN T-shirt.
Kerry then began talking to a group of schoolchildren. Sampley then showed the T-shirt to the children and said, "Kerry does not belong at the Wall because he betrayed the brave soldiers who fought in Vietnam."
Just then Kerry - in front of the school children, other visitors and Secret Service agents - brazenly 'flashed the bird' at Sampley and then yelled out to everyone, "Sampley is a felon!"

Of course Sampley could of used a little more tact in his approach, but he is entitled to his opinion. But Kerry should stop taking PR lessons from Gore.

Kerryopoly

The RNC has made Kerryopoly on line here.
You start with $40,000, which is the average household income. I rolled 3 times and ended up $16,476,000.00 in debt.

National Landfills

Sometimes I wonder how people's brains work. What possesses the following thoughts?
"I broke my stroller, might as well leave it here."
"Look at that waterfall, I bet my subway wrapper would look good in it."
"I enjoy the many sounds of nature, especially when its my generator running my Direct TV dish."
"What that meadow really needs is some tire tracks..."
"Getting drunk and chasing bears makes bears happy."

And so on.
What possess people to go up to Yosemite to enjoy nature, with the caveat that all the comforts of home have to come with them?
First off I don't like crowds, especially large crowds when I am out in "nature." I go there to get away from everything not to have everything come along for the trip. The lack of respect so many people up there show for the place is sickening. Its one of the reasons I head to National Parks when it is cold, it helps keep the idiots away.

The other example of the stupid was the people filling their water bottle straight out of the streams (mostly the same people who littered everywhere). Well in a few days they'll get giardia (which involves horrid bouts of diarrhea) and maybe they'll learn a lesson.

Also the idiots who cut switchbacks. Yes I know they suck, but cutting them only ruins trails, causes erosion, and can lead to injury or the need to be rescued (at least now if you get lost being stupid they make you pay for the helicopter to pull out your dumbass).

The last rant is people who drive below the speed limit on mountain roads. Use the freakin turnout, that's what they are there for. Also included would be veer into the middle of the road when there is a passing lane to prevent being passed.

Despite the "idiot factor" Yosemite is beautiful and using the lesser known/famous trails I could still get away from people see the park and enjoy some litter-free peace and quiet.
