A question answers, sort of
Many of my friends have asked me when I became so interested in politics. Well in cleaning out some of my very files, I found a possible answer. 1994. (Just for the math geeks I was 13 at the time)
For those curious about what the letters were:
The first letter was to the Superintendent of Glendale Unified School District with questions about the District's plans to create a night high school. My questions were along the lines of where will the teachers come from, security concerns, if classes from day school will be cut and alternate methods to reduce over crowding if the night high school program doesn't work. I received a response along with the District Budget and Feasibility Study. Just for an update, nearly 10 years later the program has not taken off, I guess they are still considering their options.
The second letter was to Carlos Moorhead, Representative from the 27th District in California. I don't have a copy of the letter I wrote, but it was about my opposition to HR 3355 (the Violet Crime Control Law Enforcement Act of 1994). He was against the bill too because "it was tougher on citizens than criminals." But obviously, it still passed.

Don't have much time to blog today but here are my personal takes.

On a side note, put down a deposit for Kings Season tickets next year 43 games* (41 regular season, 2 preseason) all for $430 not too bad for some fun entertainment. (If you like going to Hockey games, check out the Dave Taylor Die Hard Seats $10 a game season tickets in the upper deck)
*Depending on the new CBA passing during the offseason.
